On August 12, 2012, commissioners to the forty-first General Council of The United Church of Canada voted to adopt a new crest. The new crest is similar to the old crest, but it incorporates the colours white, yellow, red and black, which are the four colours of the Aboriginal medicine wheel and adds the Mohawk phrase “Akwe Nia’Tetewá:neren,” which means “all my relations.”
